Gooseham Barton Stables
Licensed riding stables, established in 1974. Approved by the British Horse Society.

Around 35 horses and ponies are kept on the farm, most are used for riding, others being mainly old faithfuls' enjoying their retirement. The horses and ponies range in size from approximately 11hh to 17hh, and we cater for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced rider. Mounts are allocated to suit size and riding ability.

All rides are escorted by our experienced and friendly staff, who will make your riding as varied and interesting as possible.Our gentle ponies are ideal for small children wishing to take part in our 1/2 hour leading rein rides around the farm.

Horse riding is available either English or Western style.

Big Blue Surf School is one of the top British Surfing Association Approved Specialist surf schools in Europe. We are a Level 4 school offering lessons from novice to elite level. All instructors are qualified coaches as well as beach lifeguards. Senior Instructor Jon Price is on the coaching team for the England Juniors. We teach from 1 April through to the end of October in Bude where you'll find beautiful, clean, sandy beaches ideal for learning and progressing.
